Linda Kubly is co-owner and Program Director. The groundwork for Linda’s passion for children’s health began when as a small child she was diagnosed with severe asthma and allergies. Her parents and her great uncle, a pediatrician, helped her meet her childhood health challenges. As a young adult she wanted to give back by helping children and their parents adapt to their diseases through learning self-care concepts at an early age. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science with a specialty in Nursing of Children. She practiced nursing for over 30 years, including roles in School Health, Pediatric Nursing, Pulmonary Nurse Specialist, Program Planning, Nursing Administration and Quality Improvement design and implementation. She also provided private consulting services in quality improvement, nursing practice, and regulatory compliance.
After more than 30 years in acute health care, Linda’s goals shifted to health promotion with a focus in meeting the needs of young children and their families. In 2001 she and her husband became franchise owners of Stretch-n-Grow of Utah, serving the Wasatch front and back. In 2003 they became Master Franchise Owners, with a goal of helping others get started in their own Stretch-n-Grow businesses. She and her husband also have developed a consulting company, Wasatch Family Fitness, providing environmental, fitness and wellness education for families and the community.
Linda and Dennis Kubly are the proud parents of two adult children and three delightful grandchildren. In their free time they spend time with their family, gardening, fly fishing, and reading

Dennis was born, raised and worked his first jobs on fertile farms in Iowa and Minnesota. His attraction to farming waned, however, as he witnessed, and was part of, the transition of family farming in the heartland to a corporate enterprise. His academic pursuits took him to the University of South Dakota (BA, Zoology), Mankato State University (MA, Aquatic Ecology), University of Washington Friday Harbor Marine Laboratory and Arizona State University. His professional working career has included time as a private consultant in healthcare and environmental sciences, a biologist with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, and an adaptive management specialist in the Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior. In these pursuits he has been fortunate to have conducted research and management on diverse aquatic ecosystems, including limestone quarries, high mountain lakes, ephemeral desert playas and rock tanks, and the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. He retired from the federal government in 2014 and initiated a career as CEO and co-owner with his wife, Linda, of private businesses focusing on improving fitness and wellness in families living along the Wasatch Range in northern Utah. In that position he particularly enjoys his work with young children and their parents. His closest young children are two grandsons and a granddaughter, all of whom are excellent at reminding him that fun is not just for children.

Yuna has been dancing since the age of 5. Her childhood was surrounded by the performing art or fitness industry as both parents are Physical Education teachers. Yuna’s progression in dance began with training in classic ballet, followed by jazz, modern dance, tap, and hip hop. She also trained as a unicycle free stylist, as a gymnast and in a variety of sports. Her college education took place at the College of Eastern Utah where she majored in dance. Since that time she has added Zumba and Latin dance to her list of proficiencies.
Passion for dance runs deep in Yuna as does her love for children and teaching. Her original choreography offers kids-friendly routines with an emphasis on fun in learning. Her goal is to help them to pick up steps and movements as part of their engagement in a healthy lifestyle. Her greatest desire is to awaken absolute joy, confidence, self-esteem, creativity and a cultural awareness heralded by the learning and experiences gained in dance lessons. Yuna provides classes for our Stretch n Grow programs.

I am a current student at the University of Utah studying Health Promotion and Kinesiology. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is something I am rather passionate about and through Stretch-n-Grow I am able to share that passion with children of all ages. I hope that by working with children, I can promote positive health behaviors that will they will implement into their lives. A few activities that helped myself maintain a healthy lifestyle include Irish dancing, skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Engaging in physical activity that is truly enjoyable makes it that much easier to work toward/sustain a healthy lifestyle.
